Green Date's Personal Review
As this was a "home town gig" all of the band were excited to be playing the Intake club. Unfortunately Chris "Dr Rock" Goodier was unable to make it, however Eddie Thomas of Reluctant Heroes stepped into the sweaty boots of Chris and did a fine job.
As usual an excellent crowd, in good voice, were in attendance. Once the Mansfield based Green Day Tribute band exploded into American Idiot, everyone knew they were in for an amazing night. It didn't take Joe, who was in fine form, long to get the crowd fired up for the next 90 minutes. Lots of sweat, beer / vodka-red bull and three encore songs later and it was all over, far too soon.....
The show went without any major hitches; except for Iain nearly falling of the side of the stage during Dominated Love Slave, which explains why they make drummers sit down.
A big thank you needs to be said to the management and crew at The Intake for making Green Date very welcome on their maiden Gig at this venue and for providing an event with so much atmosphere.
Lastly, thank you to everyone that came along. We hope you enjoyed the show as much as we did. See you at the Town Mill on 13th September
